Refund Policy for private chef events

Deposit Requirement:
A deposit is required to secure your event date. This deposit confirms your booking and allows me to begin the necessary preparations for your event.

Cancellation by Chef:
In the unlikely event that I need to cancel your event due to unforeseen circumstances, I will issue a full refund of your deposit. I will also make every effort to provide as much notice as possible and offer alternative dates if applicable.

Cancellation by Client:
Cancellations Within 2 Weeks of the Event: If you need to cancel your event within 14 days of the scheduled date, the deposit will be non-refundable. This policy is in place because it is difficult to fill the date with such short notice, and preparations may have already begun.
Cancellations More than 2 Weeks Before the Event: If you cancel more than 14 days prior to the event, a discretionary refund may be issued. The amount of the refund will depend on various factors, including the amount of work already completed, any non-refundable costs incurred, and the ability to rebook the date.

Discretionary Refunds:
In cases where a discretionary refund is considered, I will evaluate the situation on a case-by-case basis. My goal is to be fair and understanding while also protecting the time and resources invested in preparing for your event.

Rescheduling:
If you need to reschedule your event, please contact me as soon as possible. I will do my best to accommodate the new date, but rescheduling requests made within 2 weeks of the event may be treated as a cancellation, depending on availability.
